During the last couple of years EBS High School has been producing many active and great student companies. Everyone probably remembers the cool online platform by student company Sibis from last school year. A place where the clients and organic product lovers could buy products made by local Estonian farmers and organic producers without leaving their homes.
This year three ambitious EBS High Schoolers Ron Donald, Jaagup Kukk and Ove Leišovnieks are creating something big and unique with their student company Jepriis. EBS High School is a place that connects people with great imagination and the ideas that were created together can become a reality. When they had the opportunity to create a student company they wanted to offer something that no one had ever done before and that would be useful for the society. They found out that many minicompanies and student companies have the same problem – their products are not available online. So, while working together the boys created an online platform that could help student companies make their products more available and solve the current problem.
SC* Jepriis has created an online catalogue Õpilasfirma24 (opilasfirma24.ee) (Studentcompany24* – transl.), that would make the ordering of student companies’ products comfortable. The entrepreneurs’ goal is to eventually connect all the student companies to their page, to develop an “online fair”. Therefore you can buy products and find information about the student companies without leaving your computer. One of their most important priorities is developing the cooperation with the student companies. They started connecting the student companies with the page in the beginning of January and by today already 7 of them have joined. Right now they focus on creating the success stories of the joined companies on the platform.
The biggest and most ambitious goals for the next couple of months are finding new active student companies who would want to join the platform and also make the platform widely known to everyone. They dream that next year they could expand across borders whether to Latvia or Finland and participate in the Central-Baltic Sea student companies international program.
They have already been somewhat successful and left their mark in the student companies’ history by opening up the SC Jepriis’ official bank account in SEB in cooperation with SEB and Junior Achievement being the first of its kind in Estonia.
