Nutiklaas is a student enterprise created by two EBS students Davor Tamm & Arpad Joosep Kääramees. The company is focused on import and installation. By putting a specially made optical film on a regular glass, one can adjust the transparency of the glass via simple ON/OFF mode. That’s how the regular glass is transformed into a smart glass (Nutiklaas) that enables you to display pictures and videos on it.
We worked really hard for several months and took three very motivated classmates on board with us before entering the market on 11.04.2019.
Where the idea of this kind of a company is originated?
The idea came from an acquaintance who is involved in interior design. To be exact, one of the biggest companies in Estonia asked for this kind of a product from him. Turned out that there were no adequate companies in Estonia that could offer this kind of a product. That was the moment, when we realised that we have all the contacts and resources to make it happen by ourselves.
What kind of an advice would you give to those, that are doubting whether to execute their business idea?
First of all, every person should think about what he/she wishes to accomplish in the world of business. Putting together a business plan shows you exactly what needs to be done and what do you need to bring your idea to life. If you see that you’ve got all you need, then what comes next is only reliant on your own initiative. Believing in your own business idea is extremely important because many people will think that that you are doing is dumb. So, keep your goal in mind and yourself motivated at all times.
