They say that sometimes, when you think of something hard enough, it’ll come true. This was the case for my modeling career here in Tallinn. As a part time model back home in Melbourne, modeling in Tallinn seemed like an interesting thing to do. I had always wanted to model overseas and why not do it in Tallinn, my new home.
I attached myself with E.M.A model management who were extremely excited to have me on their books. And without further a due – 4 shorts weeks after arriving in Tallinn I was booked for my very first job here. That job was walking for Thea Pilvet for Tallinn Fashion Week. I was extremely surprised and grateful at the same time! It was incredible to be able to be part of such an exciting fashion event and especially here in Tallinn!
I was Thea’s main model, her special recruit. As her clothes were Asian inspired, it made sense to her that she needed an Asian model to represent her line of clothing. I was privileged to have opened and closed the show for her and with her.
However the excitement doesn’t end there! I even had the chance to be on Estonian news!!
Other jobs included a small photohoot for STOCKMANN, a STOCKMANN runway at the Hilton hotel and an online advertisement for ÖÖLOOM store.
However, my biggest dream came true when I got the opportunity to work for the famous IRIS JANVIER. I had been stalking her all the way from Melbourne and wish many nights before bed that I wanted to work for her. That dream came true. I was lucky enough to wear some of her amazing gowns, shoot at a fantastic location and even got to work with my favorite photographer of all time and dear friend, Anete Palmik.

So far, I can say that life in Tallinn has been extremely successful both in my modeling work and in my travels. I must thank all the wonderful people who have helped me get these jobs and I am so grateful that my modeling experience here has been fruitful and wonderful!
Stay tuned for the next part because my ultimate best friend is coming to TALLINN!!!
