Meet Me Monday: Nele Dvorjaninov

  1. Introduce yourself briefly

Hey! I’m a bubbly and hard-working entrepreneur, a marketing and sales manager at two of my family’s businesses and I travel around the world a lot with my partner.

The previously mentioned businesses are Luxor Mööblisalong, which originates from the time we were still living in the states and Schloss Fall castle in Keila-Joa where the main house renovation was finished in 2016.

My main interests include discovering different countries, hiking in the nature with my dogs and spending great time with my friends.

2.  Three facts about you

  • I’m a huge animal lover who would give everything up to make them feel better.
  • I’m a winner of Miss Arctic Circle
  • I have two adorable Jack Russell girls Kuta and Nööp and a fun splodgy horse Chupa Chups enjoying its life at the stable.

3.  You originate from USA, how did you end up in Estonia?

I was born in the USA but my family is actually Estonian so it felt natural to return to home at some point.

4.  How did you find your way to EBS?

I’ve studied in EBS since high school. After finishing middle school at GAG, while getting to know different schools, I found EBS. EBS stood out right away! My biggest wish at the time was to graduate an international study programme in order to take some classes in English.

I also liked entrepreneurship and business management because my family is also in that field. I started university in EBS right after graduating from high school. After the first year I felt like I would like to take a gap year. The year long gap year turned into a 3 and a half year one, because I really wanted to travel. Last year I decided to come back to university and put an end to my studies. Now I am planning to graduate in the spring.

5.  You have been also doing some horse riding. How did you find this hobbie? What do you enjoy about it the most?

There’s actually a funny story behind it. I was nine years old when my friend was supposed to go to a summer camp in Veskimetsa ratsakeskus (equestrian center) but for some reason she couldn’t go. She asked me if I was interested in going instead of her and because I had never really had any contact with horses, I thought “why not”.

I was the last participant to arrive, so all of the ponies had been handed out already and I was left with a great Tori horse. Those weeks were the best two weeks of my life! Handling horses came so naturally to me that I couldn’t stay away from them for long.

After a year I got my first horse. A few years later I already had three of them, and I started to compete in dressage. I was a competitor in many international competitions and I always won a place on the podium.

At the moment, riding is my hobby and my horses are enjoying their retirement.

What I like the most about riding is that being involved with animals and horses is kind of like a therapy. They always help to relieve the everyday stress, they radiate so much love and warmth.

  1. One of your jobs is being a content creator on Instagram. How did that take off and which were your greatest challenges?

Being a content creator on Instagram just happened on its own. Travelling around in different countries and posting pictures led to it. People like to look at travelling photos and because a lot of companies have chosen social media to be their new main marketing channel, I have now been collaborating with them.

I have collaborated with many international brands such as Coca Cola, but also with some bigger hotel chains like Ritz Carlton and Sofitel. Follow in Instagram @neledvorjaninov.

  1. Your favourite travel destinations?

I like to be under the sun, but I also like to go to snowy places. I go to sunny places more often to charge my batteries and enjoy the easy life. Of course, a big part of travelling is great food. The experience of getting to know the country is made instantly better if you travel to a place which is filled with lot of fresh food.

8.  If you could choose any superpower to have, what would it be?

I’d choose an ability which would help me to save all the homeless and neglected/abused animals in the world! I would also like to turn the world into a place where there are no animals hunted or raised to be killed for food.

9.  Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years time, I’ll be an even more successful business woman who is travelling around the world with her family. My home is still in Estonia and there will always be two furry friends waiting for me to come home.

  1. A quote you live by.

My favourite quote is “Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most.” – Buddha. To me it means that every day is a new day and you should never hold on to the past. If something isn’t achievable today, it might be tomorrow.
