Meet Me Monday: Henri Suutari
  1. Introduce yourself shortly.

Hello, I’m Henri Suutari a 21-year-old International Business Administration student from EBS. Finland is my homeland but after couple months in Tallinn I can already say that I have two home countries.  As a person, I’m a very positive and outgoing guy with a lot of huge dreams and goals in life.

  1. Tell us three facts about yourself.

– I’ve had black long hair

– I schedule everything in my life

– I love Excel

  1. What are the main differences about Finland and Estonia?

I think Finland and Estonia are quite similar in atmospheric means. Both countries are full of introverts. I’m trying to change that all the time with my crazy extrovert self. But I think the biggest differences between our countries are governmental. Finland tries to tax its citizens to death and pays living for people who just don’t want to do anything. In Estonia, the welfare system is not so huge that would need such crazy taxation as we do in Finland. Many people, especially the young, leave Finland because of these too high taxes.

  1. Tell us about your new company.

I’ve recently started online-based store called Swelly’s and I’m selling different kind of men’s accessories like wristwatches, bracelets, neckties, bags etc. My goal with business is to build an online lifestyle brand around the company’s social media and website. It’s also a great social media marketing experiment for a business student. Please check out the page on www.swellys.com .

  1. What is the most beautiful thing about business in general?

Most beautiful thing in free market economic system is that people can really compete in peaceful ways. And it has also created most welfare and wealth in the whole history of humankind. If we think in more specific means, I would say the most beautiful thing in business is that with a good vision and team you are able to do and build whatever you want.

  1. What’s the craziest thing on your bucket list?

There are so many of them but to highlight couple: I will travel into space, give a motivational speech in front of 10 000 people and complete a full-length Ironman triathlon. I’m saying “I will” because dreams are made to be accomplished.

  1. If you had the chance to travel to the past for a day, which period of time would you go and what would you do there?

I would go to ancient Rome and hang out with Caesar.

  1. What are your ambitions and dreams you want to achieve in the next 20 years?

In the next 20 years, I want to build a multi-industry company which I will run myself. But a 20-year vision is way too short for me, my life vision is based on 150-year goals which I naturally won’t be able to see (or you never know how the medicine develops) but I want to place a seed for something large which would last and develop the world. Ideology what I want to plant in people is that everyone can do whatever they want. World is huge beautiful playground for creative people and all the doors are open for the ones who believe and work on their dreams.

  1. Your favorite quote.

Stress is a problem for inefficient people – unknown

Believe in people – Henri Suutari
