Meet Me Monday: Francesca Buntsel

Introduce yourself shortly.

Hi! My name is Francesca and I am currently on my first academic year at EBS. When I’m not studying then I am probably busy with one of my 10 different hobbies or creating a marketing plan for the upcoming year of EBS Student Council.

Three facts about you.

  • I am 75% Estonian and 25% Armenian.
  • I can’t multitask.
  • I am a total night owl – My brain simply doesn’t function in the mornings, but I could easily be solving a microeconomics home assignment at 4 AM.

You chose to study Entrepreneurship and Business Administration here at EBS. Why?

I am certain that this chosen field will support me with creating a successful future for myself. In addition to the studies, EBS has an active community of students, an environment which supports anyone with creating many great connections and find friends, plus awesome memories are granted.

You are an active member of EBS Student Council’s Marketing team. What made you to join the SC?

If you are going to a University, why not to make the best out of it! It all happened organically, I was curious about it and at the same time there happened to be a free spot in the Marketing team. It seemed to be a great opportunity to challenge myself and learn something new. For example, I learned how to use a graphic design platform Canva, which has helped me the most.

How do you spend your free time?

If I happen to have some free time, I mainly focus on my hobbies – photography, investing, singing, exploring the nature and making some travelling plans.

You have travelled a lot. Tell us about your most memorable trip.

The most memorable and adventurous destination for me was the US where I spent nearly 2 months last year. I went to 5 different states and got to see a lot. I was mainly fascinated by the country’s unique nature. For example, I went to Sequoia National Park which has the world’s biggest trees – they were really ginormous. The most memorable situation took place in a desert located 6 hours from the nearest town, in the middle of the night, when I got to admire the most beautiful starry sky I have ever witnessed. Moments like these make every trip special and unforgettable.

What are your ambitions and goals in life, that you wish to accomplish in the next 20 years?

My dream is simple – to be happy, to do what my soul aspires to do, and to surround myself with the right people. Of course, I also have a goal to travel the world.

What is your dream vacation like?

I like to travel the places where a real cultural shock and a chance to experience something new. Primarily, I would like to visit the places that are not mainstream or popular among others. For instance, the dream for this summer was to go to see llamas in Slovenia. 🙂

Who inspires you?

The people I’m surrounded by. I believe that there is something to learn from every single person, so I try to value everyone that crosses my path.
