We see EBS Student Council as a little family. We do everything to help our fellow students and provide them with all kinds of activities and events. We try to make memories of their school years matter and last a lifetime! We’re a bunch of active Ebsters and our door is always open for everyone!
WHAT DO WE DO?
Our events start from the poker room, we stop by the Halloween party for a second, then we eat blood pudding behind the dinner table on Christmas and of course there is no shortage of different challenges.
The highlight of the year is the Golden Haba gala. At the gala we put on our best clothes, we dress to impress, we reward our best ebsters, lecturers and workers. – That’s right, you can find events and adventures for every taste!
Of course, we haven’t forgotten our sporty ebsters. For them we have arranged a Sports Day to find out who is the strongest, fastest and the prettiest ebster of them all! You can put yourself to test on the Spring and the Winter swim events. And also, we have a lot of ball games etc!
Events are not our main field of activity. Our goal is to listen to all of your concerns and we try to help you as much as we can, we try to make life at our school better every day. We believe that the years at EBS help you to grow and develop as a person & as we like to say – make it matter!
Student Council Board consists of the chairman, the education manager and the communication manager. The chairman leads the entire work of Student Council. In addition, he has to solve problems, hold meetings, confirm documents, make contracts, represent our students and council outside of EBS and also at the school senate. There is also an ongoing co-operation between the chairman, rector, chancellor and vice rector.
Education manager is a person who can help you with concerns related to the school, lecturers or work. She organizes the Orientation Weekend, student shadow week and focus groups for students.
Communication manager is the one channelling information between EBS and Student Council. He’s responsible for council social networking sites and the communication within the council between the teams. He delivers information to students and contacts sponsors.

Events Team’s goal is to arrange some super awesome events that you couldn’t even imagine in your wildest dreams. Our main events are EBS OPEN, Halloween party, Christmas Dinner, Poker Nights and EBS FINAL party at the end of the school year. In addition, we organize many non-profitable or charity events, such as walking the shelter dogs, donating blood etc. Of course, we also celebrate Valentine’s day, Women’s day and Men’s day.
We arranged an awesome event named Business Brunch for the first time this year, where you could eat and gather some very useful information and tips from the best of the best. The performers were Taranika Tionna, Jaak Roosaare and Kuldar Kullasepp. The participants gave us some really great feedback, and everyone enjoyed the event. We would really like to make a tradition out of Business Brunch.

International Club is the home of our Erasmus students. Here we find a buddy for every exchange student, their first Estonian friend, who helps the exchange student start their life in Estonia, introduce them our culture and much more. Besides that, they organize different events, hikes and lots of other exciting activities such as Bog Trip, Goodbye My Lover, Orientation Day etc. Additionally, they work with Erasmus Student Network, so that our Erasmus students would have different opportunities to go on trips, to participate in trainings and to meet with other Erasmuses from other universities.

In Addition, at the end of the semester focus groups are held to analyse past semester. Focus groups are held in free form, which means that you don’t need to fill any forms. A student has an opportunity to share their thoughts about the past semester with the Education Manager Kaisa, who will put together a thorough summary and will present this to the EBS Senat. Student’s contribution in this focus group is really important to improve our school life at EBS.
