Meet Me Monday: Daniel Tõevälja
  1. Introduce yourself shortly.

I’m a 19-year-old entrepreneurship-loving guy from Tallinn. I’m strong in capital mindset and I believe that anyone who tries hard enough can make it to the top. I love working in teams whether as a member or a leader. I’m open to new business ideas and I’m going to have at least two companies by 2025. I think it’s everyone’s duty to leave a good mark of themselves on this planet. I also have done a lot of work in youth organizations and I know that future is in their hands.

  1. Three facts about yourself.

-I have studied in the youth art school for 8 years

-I’m doing a double Bachelor right now

-I’m probably opening a coffee shop with my fellow EBSters

  1. Why did you decide to start studying at EBS?

I chose EBS simply because it’s the best option for me. I had already taken some courses here before, so I knew that this is where I would enjoy studying. Besides that, those connections you get in EBS are just perfect and all the lectures are really at the top of their game. The third reason was the partner universities.

  1. EBS is offering countless opportunities to study abroad, would you consider doing that?

I’m planning to go to study abroad. It is one of those life-changing opportunities. Right now, I’m considering a couple of options. Greece would be a nice place to go to, one of my good friends suggested that and after a little research it seems awesome. Some of the other good options for me are Italy, Spain and UK. I think going abroad is one of the best choices one could make.

  1. What would be the worst job you would hate and why?

I would hate to work from nine to five. Besides that, I wouldn’t like to work for others, I believe that working for your own company is the best option. Also working in big corporations that don’t care about their employees would be terrible.

  1. What’s your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is to die with regrets and life not lived up to its full potential. “The graveyard is the richest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, all because someone was too afraid to take the first step.” – Les Brown.

  1. If you could be anyone, be anywhere and do anything for a week what would you do?

If I could be anyone then I would be Elon Musk. I believe that he’s an amazing person, who has … so many things. I would love to run his companies for a couple of days, do some research on the Mars project and live the life of a billionaire.

  1. Where do you see yourself in the far future?

In the far future I will have my own companies, a nice family and two homes. I will travel a lot and enjoy my life to the fullest. I will also spend a lot of time trying to make the world a better place and give awesome opportunities for the young. I’m probably going to spend half of my time in the Southern Europe enjoying the warm climate and the outgoing people.

  1. Your favorite quote.

There are two that have truly touched me:

“Always deliver more than expected.” – Larry Pag

“You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” – Wayne Gretzky
