Introduce yourself briefly.
I am a 21-year-old entrepreneur, an active student and interested in photography.
Two years ago, I started out with my videography company. From there, I got interested in marketing and I’ve been developing myself in that field in the last couple of years.. Today, I am a third year student and am studying Entrepreneurship and Business Management at EBS and I’m also the head of the Marketing Team at the EBS Student Council.
On the weekends I mostly work for my own company, search for new interesting projects, enjoy being on the sea or discover Estonia.
Three facts about you:
- When the weather is nice, there is a 99% change that I can be found wakeboarding, swimming or sailing
- I have gotten x-ray pictures done of almost every part of my body, from my teeth to my toes
- I am always ready to go see and enjoy the sunrise at the bog, no matter how tired I might be
How did you find your way to EBS?
I went through a student companies programme when I was in the 11th grade and I realised that entrepreneurship is something I’d definitely like to do in the future. (I’d like to thank Epp Vodja and JA Estonia, for giving us a chance to participate in this programme and get the entrepreneurship bug.) After I graduated, I chose between applying to BFM to be an operator or to EBS to study entrepreneurship. But unfortunately, on that year there was no applications accepted to this study programme at BFM, so the only option was to apply to EBS, and I don’t regret anything. I know, that I want to develop my entrepreneurial skills and that’s why I’m here.
You are now the head of the Marketing Team at the EBS Student Council. Tell us about some plans for the upcoming year.
The plan was to create a firm structure so there wouldn’t be any communication errors and the information would end up where it should. I definitely want to make our marketing on Facebook and Instagram better, as well as add some cool pictures and videos to the ads so every Ebster would know what’s up.
You mostly deal with taking pictures and videos. Tell us about some exciting projects.
I recently had an opportunity to film the princess of Abu Dhabi and her delegation’s visit to Estonia. It was really interesting to see their manners work ethics since they are from the United Emirates. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity, probably. Check out more from www.straade.ee.
What’s the most exciting aspect of it, for you?
I enjoy creating something new every time – to search for new opportunities, to put something new in a video every time, it offers good diversity. None of the projects are exactly the same and every time I get to think of something fresh and exciting.
What kind of a person is an entrepreneur?
They should be ready to invest into their doings 110%. They should definately be active and restless to some extent. They shouldn’t be able to sit steady for too long and always be willing to search for new opportunities.
If you had to get a tattoo right now, what kind of a tattoo would you choose?
Probably something related to the sea, a sailboat or a fish or sth. like that. The sea, for me, is one of the best places to think and rest.
If you had a time machine and could go to any time and place from the past – where would you go, and why?
You know, I’d rather not go anywhere right now. My life is so exciting I’d rather see what the future has in store for me. The past is something to learn from, and that’s exactly what I’m trying to do.
