On one sunny and a bit windy Sunday in April, some fearless Ebsters decided that it was time to put on the swimsuits and gather in Kalaranna again, to go for a crisp Spring swim.
As an Ebster, it is fitting to: be venturesome, try something new and challenging and go for a swim from time to time in a 2 degree water in North Tallinn.
As it happened at the end of November, at EBS Winter Swim (check out the article HERE), more than 20 daredevil Ebsters gathered to do something awesome and insane together.
There were first timers and experienced winter dippers (read: Peeter Luik) whose face didn’t change a bit while being in the water and who don’t care whether it’s 2 or 20 degrees.
To avoid losing any toes for frostbites, we had ordered a Sauna and our main sponsor Nocco was pumping everyone with energy again.
The water really was cold and crisp, as well as bracing, and without pointing out that after a couple of seconds in the water people ran to the Sauna, the spirits were high and everyone had a smile on their face.
Especially those brave ones, who did something so unexpected and crazy for the first time.
The participants were extremely pleased with the event and as we agreed at Kalaranna, these dips will become a new tradition. So, we will soon find ourselves on the beach again, this time enjoying the summery barbeque and sun.
